Lenten

Lent was not significant for me this year until Maundy Thursday when I insisted on going to a church because I felt I had to go to the table of mercy. On Maundy Thursday, Jesus had his last supper with his disciples and made an invitation for them to eat the bread of life and drink the blood that cleanses them. I wanted to go because I wanted to seek Jesus again, after all the selfish ambitions that had toyed with my mind. I knew I had to re-dedicate my purpose and will to Him.

Finally today, we celebrate His resurrection. And I remember where my hope lies and my source of salvation. Because Jesus died a painful death and rose to life, I should worship and honour Him. That even if all would fall away, my faith will still remain.
