This morning, just in front of the bustop lay the aftermath of a road accident. I walked by and there was a car, a pickup and a smashed up motorcycle.. and a pool of blood. I don't believe in omens and that was a bad start of the day because accidents frighten me. I don't break in cold sweat at the sight of blood but an accident scene numbs me. =/

I still facinate at morbid books.

This book toys with my imagination and makes my skin crawl. You should read it too.

Harsh words & violent blows
Hidden secrets nobody knows
Eyes are open, hands are fisted
Deep inside I'm warped & twisted
So many tricks & so many lies
Too many whens & too many whys
Everybody's special, everybody's gifted
I'm just me, warped & twisted
Sleeping awake & choking on a dream
Listening loudly to a silent scream
Call my mind, the number's unlisted
Lost in someone so warped & twisted
On my knees, alive but dead
Look at the invisible blood I've bled
I'm not gone, my mind has drifted
Don't expect much, I'm warped & twisted
Burnt out, wasted, empty, & hollow
Today's just yesterday's tomorrow
The sun died out, the ashes sifted
I'm still here, warped & twisted

I went for a health checkup sometime back (cos it was free). The least enjoyable part being the blood test section. The guy took 10 mins to draw my blood.

My results came back and nothing hits you with the fact that you're unhealthy like a health screening test result. I am so glad to be normal on all catergories but I bear a low risk of cardiovascular disease. =\ Therefore its time for bed because I'm jogging in the morning.

We only need a couple of stuffed animals within our reach to get a little crazy.

I tell you it's the result of work.

Jane decided that we should take this picture because she got a brand new N80. She just wanted to 'test' it.

We got new cups..

Jane developed a strange habit of treating her toys as living creatures. "He needs a drink of water," she says.

Nothing beats having a night out with the girls at the Loreal Festive Sale. It looked too good to be missed so being the 'kiasu' Singaporeans we are, we all left the office quite punctually to grab stuff.

I bought...

I officially declare myself broke and shall fast from shopping till the next year. Christmas and birthday presents not included.

Settling down to read a book is a luxury and adding more books to the collection is exhorbitance. And the greatest book of all is still the bible. I'm happy to have found my favourite one with its green pouch.

Apart from reading, visiting a brand new place brings another level of excitement. How many 'brand new places' can you have everyday? So after hearing way too much about Vivo City, I decided to escape the monotonous office and head to Harbourfront. Vivo City is indeed huge and I got lost. But in it are rows of shops and shops and more shops. Its quite heavenly (for girls) and dreadfully hellish (for guys). So I stepped in thinking I'll only be browsing a little here and there, but ended up $100 poorer. My delightful purchase were a couple of books from my favourite bookstore and a skirt. I'm happy.

Here's a little Snoopy

It was a dark and stormy night....

An Inconvenient Truth

Family dinners are always fun to have. And its these occasions I'd find myself eating less or pigging out. Most often, I pig out.

Recently, I've been getting the bouts of irritation and might have snapped at a couple of people. I would like to say now that I'm most sorry for the childish behaviour. I think I'm quite a b**** sometimes.

For most of us, we need to witness some phenomenon or a disaster of some kind before we see the jarring truth and realise the consequences of our actions. And the truth is always an unpleasant one.

If you love your planet.. if you love your children.. please watch this film. If you think its some boring documentary, trust me, its not. And its not just educational, it's meant to save our home and who knows, even our lives. If this film does not convince you to do something, you might not be human.

I believe I gained a disgusting amount of weight and I believed it enough to wake up at 6 this morning to go jog at the park opposite. All I did was prove to myself how much my stamina had deteriorated. I did not complete a 2.4km run and my legs are wobbly and my chest is tight. *Depressed* Now, I'm thinking U-zap will be the desperate alternative measure.

Recently, I've been listening to an alarming amount of the teeny-bopper songs we all used to listen in Primary school, all the debuts of Backstreet Boys and Spice Girls and what-nots. Once in a while, it's fun to listen to music that's a decade old and remind yourself of the kind of music you liked then. Now I still like Power 98, so I'm young. I like Class 95 a little too, so I'm getting old. =\ What the hell.. I'll just stick to what I just bought

Terence said i like weird music but I think this album is nice..

I have to brag about the successful attempt at baking chicken in a toaster oven. My grandma made this for me when I was much younger. And after making some variation here and there, I decided to give my briefly modified recipe a try.

So I braved through the rain to the supermarket and to meet Terence.

And here goes my attempt...

After letting it sit in the juices for a while in the fridge

and amazingly squeeze so many pieces into the tray

the chicken was baked to perfection. And it tasted good too.
DnD. A great way to mark the end of last weekend. Great entertainment, great company, not so great food... It was fun.

After that it was back to work, stress, fall sick, more work and more stress...

Sometimes I can just sit and marvel at how stupidity can work in people. You barged in and demanded from us things that you don't have to know. So we asked why and all you can say is "I don't trust you" like some curly-hair bimbo in an 80s movie. People can't appreciate what they get. All they do is ask for more.

In the midst of our frustration and never-ending strain of work, we got a treat! From Mark with appreciation... At least there's one who recognises our efforts..

And what we gave in return..

For the good and bad..

here's to us..
